What the research actually says
Red light therapy is sold with a lot of certainty it has not earned. Below is what the published trials found, in plain English, including the parts that are weaker than the marketing suggests. Every study is linked so you can read it yourself.
Skin and visible ageing β the strongest evidence

- 137 women, aged 40 to 65 β randomised and controlled
- Red light at 660 nm, ten sessions across four weeks
- 31.6% reduction in wrinkle volume around the eye
This is the study worth knowing. The group studied, the wavelength and the session pattern all match how a full-body bed is actually used, and 660 nm is one of the five wavelengths in ours.
Muscle recovery and soreness

- Fourteen studies included, across 660β950 nm
- Muscle strength improved at 24 and 48 hours β a large effect, pooled from four of the trials
- Soreness reduced at 72 and 96 hours β a moderate effect, from the same pooled set
The honest caveat: the wider literature on exercise recovery is inconsistent across human trials. The strength finding is the stronger half. Anyone telling you recovery is settled science is overselling it.
What we are not going to tell you
We are not going to claim this treats a medical condition, because that is not what the evidence supports and it is not what we sell. A red light bed is a wellness device. What the research supports is the skin finding above and a reasonable case on muscle recovery. Where the wider literature is thin or does not fit what we sell, we leave it off this page rather than stretch it.
