I started this because I couldn't sleep either.

For three years, I woke most nights soaked through — like I'd stepped out of the shower. I'd throw the covers off, then drag them back twenty minutes later, cold and clammy. Duvet on, duvet off, a hundred times a night. Some nights I gave up and slept in the spare room, and felt guilty about that too. When I finally asked my GP, I got a sympathetic head-tilt and not much else. I'd half-decided this was simply my life now.

So I tried everything. Fans that annoyed my husband. Cotton, bamboo, silk — all of it still soaked by morning. Gel pillows that were cold for twenty minutes and warm again by one. Supplements that “helped a bit.” I spent a small fortune on things that didn't work, and I looked everywhere for something that would.

Then I learned it wasn't willpower — it was physics. In menopause, the body's comfortable temperature range narrows almost to nothing, so the smallest warmth sets off a flush. Every passive fix only ever mops up after. What I actually needed was something that kept my side of the bed cool all night.

When I finally found a cooling pad that did exactly that, my nights changed. I woke up dry. I stayed in my own bed, beside my husband. And slowly, I started to feel like myself again.

I built The Wellnest Haven so no other woman has to spend years searching the way I did. If you're lying awake at 3am — soaked, exhausted, and told it's “just part of getting older” — this is for you. I want you to feel the same relief I did.
